Lambe ARNAUDOV
Deputy Minister of Economy
Macedonia
The dream of Great Europe is my second religion. With the establishing of the new Government in the Republic of Macedonia it is becoming reality. Principles, criteria and rules as a priority in internal and foreign policy of the Government propagated since the first day are followed and established.
With great pleasure, I can say that the relaxation of interethnic and interconfessional relations, wide democratisation in every sphere of living, increasing the standards of citizens, eruptive developments of human rights and freedoms, marketing economy and privatisation are priorities in internal policy. On the other side, normalisation in the relations with our neighbour countries and achieved common consensus for entering European Union and collective security system has now won the foreign policy of the Republic of Macedonia and are giving solid foundations for great holly idea and vision of Great Europe.
The value of one nation and one country is not measured by the number of citizens or by the size of the country. The true value is in the people themselves and their willingness to make other people happy for the good and prosperity of the human kind. The Republic of Macedonia and its citizens have faced this during the war in Kosovo when they gave unselfish aid to one nation who was in danger, accepting them like its own, even when their number was approximately a 20 % of the total number of the citizens of Macedonia. With that kind of policy and treatment, the Republic of Macedonia awaked and raised respect and gratitude in the whole democratic world. The major distinction of Macedonian people is the insufficiency and we are the happiest when we can share what we have honourably and rightfully with the others.
I can assure all of you present here, the Great Europe is deep implemented into the conscience and health of Macedonian citizens. We already feel like citizens of Europe. Therefore, all of us completely devoted to the idea of Great Europe like to wish the best to all members of the Paneuropean Union in their intentions of improving on this work.

Hungary
On behalf of the Paneuropean Union Hungary, I would like to welcome you all to the third Coudenhove-Kalergi Meeting.
According to its constitution, the aim of the International Paneuropean Union is to promote the unity of the nations with a special regard to cultural, political and economic collaboration of the European nations and States in order to preserve and develop our common heritage.
In addition, the Union has a responsibility for encouraging the spirit of internationalism as well as implementing the notion of human rights and a mutual understanding of the nations.
All these aims and tasks are important preliminaries for Hungary in her efforts to become a member of the European Union. The integration to Western Europe requires regional and local activities besides national projects. The execution of the associative agreement and the gradual deepening and further development of the associative process rise many questions in terms of both political and economic tasks.
The Paneuropean Union of Hungary has participated actively in promoting a greater recognition of human resources as a major factor in the development of countries. The integration to Europe is a decisive element in the process of modernisation because it represents an opportunity for globalisation, a chance to catch up and a new system of values at the same time. It is important to promote personal contacts between participants from different countries and to study and evaluate local or regional programmes.
Now we stand at the gate of the third millennium. Our dream is a mutual European home, a home of the united European nations. Paneurope can not be an excluding Europe. It can only be established by the Christian faith, even now.
